2024 VW Golf GTI First Look - Golf Facelift Launches Chat GPT OnBoard. At CES 2024, the premier global electronics fair taking place from January 9 to 12, Volkswagen is set to unveil the first vehicles incorporating ChatGPT, an AI-based chatbot, into their IDA voice assistant. Moving forward, customers will enjoy uninterrupted access to the ever-expanding AI database across all Volkswagen models equipped with the IDA voice assistant, along with the benefit of having research content audibly presented to them while driving. The foundation of this innovative feature is Cerence Chat Pro, developed by technology partner Cerence Inc., providing a unique and sophisticated automotive-grade integration of ChatGPT. Volkswagen is poised to become the first high-volume automaker to standardize Chat GPT in many of its production models starting from the second quarter of 2024. The novel chatbot is incorporated alongside the latest infotainment systems in the following models: ID.7, ID.4, ID.5, ID.3, the brand-new Tiguan, and Passat, as well as in the upcoming Golf.
